If it is your first time buying a glass bong then you may find the experience confusing or the range of different sizes and types overwhelming. Here we will try to give a basic rundown of all of your options and the different types of bongs we have for sale.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Here is some of the most common types of bongs sold in Australia:

Agung Aussie style glass bongs

Agung Aussie Style Bongs

This is the most commonly used type of bong in Australia. This style is what many Aussies are used to, they have a metal stem with a grommet and a brass cone piece. Agung have been selling these since the 1970's and although there are a few different brands around nowadays, Agung is still the best quality and have the best fitting stems and cones.

They come in many different shapes and sizes, but a traditional bubble type about 24cm to 32cm is most common

Agung Aussie style bongs are simple, cheap and easy to clean.

Glass Beaker Bongs

Glass beaker bongs are the most popular type of bong in the U.S and are also very popular in Europe. This type of bong uses a glass stem and cone that connect with ground joints instead of using a metal stem in a grommet.

Glass beaker bongs are simple by design, easy to clean and are very practical. They come in every size imaginable and can be different colours or feature various designs and decorations.

A beaker bong around 20cm to 35cm is most common but some people also prefer larger.

Percolator Bongs

Percolator Bongs

As the name suggests, a percolator bong is a bong that has a percolator. This is part of the bong that is designed to create smaller bubbles than a traditional stem, the smaller bubbles create more filtration and can be a smoother smoking experience.

Percolators come in an infinite amount of designs and appearance. They are basically just anything that splits the bubbles up into smaller pieces.

The up side to a percolator bong is that the more filtration can create a smoother, cooler hit. The down side is that cleaning is usually more difficult and that some people just don't prefer the experience of a percolator bong.

Glass gator bongs Australia

Glass Gator Bongs

A glass gator bong is simply a glass "Aussie style" bong that is designed to replicate the look and feel of a DIY bong made from a plastic drink bottle.

These bongs look like a plastic drink bottle and are the same size but are actually made out of glass and have a grommet with metal stem and brass cone piece.

The appeal of these I think is partly nostalgia, partly novelty and partly that this is what many people are used to.

This type of bong was made popular by the company "Gatorbeug" during the 2010's

Dab Rigs

Dab rigs are small bongs designed to smoke resins, waxes, oils, rosin or herbal extracts. These are usually not really suitable for smoking dry herbs or flower.

These small bongs usually don't come with a cone piece, they instead come with something called a "Banger" which is designed specifically for resins or waxes to be "dabbed" onto.

If you are looking for a bong to use with dry herb or bud, don't get a dab rig, these are really only designed for their intended purpose.
