A percolator bong is a glass bong that incorporates a part that is designed to diffuse the smoke into smaller bubbles and therefore increase the amount of filtration and cooling.  

Percolators come in many different shapes and designs and there are numerous terms to describe them. Inline perc, tree perc, UFO, cage, shower head and recycler are some of the commonly used terms used to describe glass bong percs. They may also be called diffusers.
